Summer 2017

God has been blessing the work of God in Honduras. We are in the full-swing of summer and are seeing tremendous things take place in and around the ministry of our Church. In the last few weeks, we’ve seen several receive the Holy Ghost as well as baptized in Jesus name for the remission of sins. We officially launched a new church plant on the eastern-side of the island (Crawfish Rock) are are having regular services on Sunday mornings. As many as 30 people have been coming consistently, and one was baptized two weeks ago! At our headquarters church in Sandy Bay, we are seeing outstanding growth. Easter Sunday we had a special services hosted at the Hope Corps Training Center, over 100 people came, were fed and received the Word of God – thanks to Sis. Lane Shoemake and Sis. Diana Oliva from First Church in San Jose, CA (Pastor Jon Shoemake) for putting together a special Easter presentation for the children in our church. Additionally, during our Mother’s Day service, we had a full-house (120 people crammed into our rented facility that seats no more than 35 people) – God moved in a special way, and we honored the 35 mothers who came to celebrate with us – each one received a special gift from the church. Furthermore, our MIT (Minister’s in Training) classes continue each Saturday night at our house and 12 men from our church have faithfully pledged to complete the year long course for equipping and empowering our church for end-time revival! We are in our 7th week of class, and it continues to get better and better! We are thanking God for the hunger and teachability of those that call First Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Roatan their home!

Two weeks ago we broke ground on our first church property here in Sandy Bay and are currently in the process of raising funds to complete the facility. The church will provide several classrooms for teaching and sunday school, office, nursery, apartment and other facilities to best utilize what God has blessed us with to reach our community. The property is located right off the main road (Calle Principal) and stretches all the way to the beach – it’s .24 acres and could not be better suited to provide what we need to be most effective.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support the work of God through giving to my family for our personal budget, and those who have given to the building project in Sandy Bay – your contributions, big and small are making a HUGE difference and we could not thank you enough for believing in our vision for this place God has called us to serve!

If you are interesting in helping to send funds for the completion of the building, please send funds to WPF Headquarters, ear-marked Roatan Missions – or you can use the online giving platform provided on our website.

We are currently in Arkansas on a two week deputation: Pastor Joseph Adams (Hazen, AR), Pastor Caleb Adams (Memphis, TN), Pastor Billy Uzzle (Union City, TN), Pastor David Morrison (Harrison, AR) and Pastor Nathan Holmes (Little Rock, AR)

We are scheduled to return to the states in July for PEAK, Ignite Conference and Arkansas Camp Meeting.
